Top 10 Best Places to Work in Nigeria 2012

Great Place to Work (GPTW) Institute has ranked Diageo (Guinness Nigeria Plc) as the best place to work in Nigeria. The award ceremony, first of its kind in Africa, aims to be an annual event recognising organisations who have implemented creative and effective approaches to developing trust, pride and camaraderie within the workplace.
The award is given using the Trust Wheel theory which includes Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride and Camaraderie, participating companies were subjected to Employee Trust Survey and Culture Audit which are the same yardsticks for measuring similar awards in developed economies.
In award ceremony held on 19th April, 2012 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Diageo (Guinness Nigeria Plc) topped the list followed by First Bank of Nigeria Plc and then Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc.
A total of 229 companies were nominated from a cross-section of Nigerian Stock Exchange listed companies, multinationals, government agencies, non-governmental agencies and educational institutions in Nigeria.
